I’m sitting in a hotel lobby and just overheard two people in their younger 20s exchanging a conversation. Apparently they knew each other in high school:

You know you drank too much pool water while perfecting your flip turns when you have to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes post swim.
So I was going to get up and go for a bike ride this morning until Mike mentioned that it was pretty windy outside.
And because I’m such a docile and submissive wife (insert scoff and snicker), I listened to him.
I headed over to Sanitas for a morning hike. Here’s a quick video that suggests it was the right decision.
This $8 fried apple pie I ordered from my hotel looks suspiciously similar to the 50-cent McDonald’s variety with a little extra cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top.
Yesterday I tripped over a pointy rock because I was distracted by a box of potentially free stuff next to a dumpster. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything good.
And I think I might have broken my toe.
I love Colorado for many reasons.
I love looking out my window and seeing the gorgeous mountains.
I love how it gets just a little chilly during summer nights so that we can open up all the windows and let in a fresh, cool breeze.
Mike told me the other day that he loves Colorado because he appreciates that it’s such an easy state to draw.
