So I’m chilling in Boulder’s Ozo Coffee right now, rocking out to some sweet songs blaring over the loudspeaker.
The music selection is awful for my productivity, but it’s giving me some great inspiration: We are going to have a sweet playlist for our wedding!
So Mike and I have this pact that whenever one of us asks “What are you thinking?” you have to honestly respond with just that: what you were thinking.
He just popped over to my house with two apple pies from McDonald’s, one for me and one for him. I haven’t gotten to mine yet, although his had been gobbled down.
So when I asked him, “What are you thinking?” he responded with a deep question: Are you going to eat your apple pie?
Mike sent me to an article that described a bear on the University of Colorado campus.
In his words: “I know that it’s a serious story, but somehow, this picture doesn’t convey the gravity of it.”
So I recently had a friend (Ms. Cassy Bohnet) measure my bust, butt and waist in prep for weddin’ dress huntin’.
Apparently my waist is 27 1/2 inches in girth. Scarlett O’Hara’s waist size was a mere 17 inches.
I’m not sure how I feel about that.
Then again, she is fictional.
And my love of dessert is not fictional.
I’m pretty infatuated with my engagement ring from Mike Soltys. In fact, I’m really infatuated with it. Like Gollum, “Lord of the Rings,” “my precious” infatuated …
Uh oh …
Does that mean I need counseling?
So about that blog about me not being engaged … I actually wrote that roughly one month ago-when I wasn’t engaged-and scheduled it to post in the future. Unfortunately, I posted it a bit too far in the future.
Ooops.
A big thanks to our dear, worried friends who alerted me to the error. We are in fact engaged. And we’re both pretty darn stoked.
